Chef Dale: "I think overall, it went pretty smoothly. We really took the kind of verbiage of elevating more literally than maybe some of the other teams."
Padma Lakshi: "I think everything in the salad seemed to be very nicely seasoned. Whose decision was it to cut the egg in half?"
Chef Dale: "I guess it'd probably be me. I think it's important to show the egg inside."
Tom Colicchio: "The egg was beautifully cooked. Those yolks are insane. But the outside of the egg was not crispy."
Gail Simmons: "I felt the same way. Perhaps it could have been left in a little longer."
Chef Dale: "Yeah. We were really just trying to find that balance of obviously making sure that it was fried, but at the same time, we didn't want to overcook the egg."
Brett Graham: "The challenge when you're making a scotch egg is there's a huge amount of moisture trying to escape from that egg. And as it goes through the process, it obviously moistens the breadcrumbs."
