This is a dish inspired by Crystelle, who was a finalist in The Great British Baking Show ™, Season 12 in 2021. Crystelle created this dish in Biscuit Week.
The brandy snap baskets, weirdly, don't have any brandy in them. The lovely lacy pattern is the result of bubbles of butter bursting during the cooking process.
The baskets (or, more traditionally, pipes) need forming while the snaps are still hot and flexible.
